Summer Art Camp 2024 K-6
Summer Art Camp 2024 K-6
Location:
St. Mark's Episcopal Church
2024 S. Collins St.
Arlington, TX 76010
Drop-off Information:
Drop-off is from 8:50am-9am each day. Early drop-off is not permitted. Please do not leave your child unattended outside while the teachers are setting up for the day. They will open the doors and come outside when it is time for the kids to come inside.
To help with flow of traffic, here is a map of the parking lot. I have drawn arrows to show where to go. When you enter, please keep right and make your way all the way around the back circle of the lot. This will avoid any kiddos needing to walk in front of cars on their way inside. They will exit the vehicles where the X is drawn and a teacher will be there to assist.
· If your child is nervous and you would prefer to walk them inside on the first day, that is completely fine! Hopefully on day two they will feel confident about walking in solo.
Pick-up Information:
Pick-up will be at 1pm sharp. Please follow the same traffic flow pattern as drop-off. We will walk your child out when we see your car from the windows inside so they don’t have to melt in the Texas sun while we wait. Please make every effort to arrive on time. Many of our teachers have childcare arrangements of their own and need to leave as soon as camp ends.
Things to bring each day:
1. A beach towel for your child to sit on during lunch time.
2. A nut-free sack lunch that does not need to be refrigerated.
3. A water bottle.
Art Show Information:
At noon on Friday of your child’s week of camp, we will enjoy an Art Show and Awards Ceremony! There will be a snow-cone truck on site to purchase treats while you enjoy the show and the awards ceremony will start promptly at 12:30pm. Friends and family are all invited to come see what your child has been working on all week!
* Campers will still need to bring a lunch on Friday.
Waiver Information:
Attached you will find a waiver. This is so you can read over it in advance. If you would like to print and sign in advance to help make drop-off on day one a little faster, that would be wonderful, but we will have them available to sign from your vehicle as you drop off.
Other things to remember:
1. Wear clothes that can get messy! (We try our best to stay clean, but messes do happen!)
2. We will ask your child if they have a friend attending camp on the first day, and if so, make sure they are seated together.
3. We will be tie-dying this year’s camp t-shirts, so they will get the finished shirt on Friday, ready to wear for the art show!
Lastly, there is still room for campers in week 2 and 3 and I would love nothing more than to see these spots filled with kids that adore art like we do! I encourage you to invite a friend to join the fun!
Thank-you all in advance for making this summer, my last summer of art camp, so special. I can’t wait to see everything that your kids create!
Love,
Lindsay Whittenberg
